Girls in STEM

At Ridgely Robotics, we are proud to champion gender diversity by fostering a passion for STEM among girls—who remain underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and math fields, especially in leadership roles. Over 40% of our team members are girls, and we have successfully fielded several all-girl teams that have advanced to the World Championships in recent years. We empower girls by offering them leadership roles within the team and giving them the autonomy to manage their own team dynamics—creating natural opportunities for leaders to emerge. This focus on inclusion, empowerment, and leadership helps shape future innovators, inspiring many of our students to continue with robotics in high school and pursue STEM degrees and careers. Our efforts demonstrate that, with the right opportunities and encouragement, girls can thrive and excel in STEM, breaking barriers and reshaping the future of these industries.
