Celebrating Our Successes
Over the past decade, Ridgely Robotics has achieved remarkable success in the world of VEX Robotics. Our teams have earned numerous awards, including Design, Teamwork Challenge, Skills, and Excellence Awards, at tournaments across Maryland—culminating in outstanding performances at the State Championships. In the last two years alone, we have won the prestigious Excellence Award at states, the highest honor in VEX Robotics. Additionally, we secured back-to-back Design Awards at the state level and claimed victory in the Teamwork Challenge two years ago, finishing as runner-up last year.
We take particular pride in the achievements of our all-girl teams, with each of the last three years seeing an all-girl team earn a bid to the World Championships. Beyond competitions, we host the largest VEX Robotics tournament in Maryland, bringing together teams from across the region.
Our program has also served as a launchpad for students' future success. Many of our alumni have gone on to prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Georgia Tech, MIT, and the University of Maryland, while others have earned coveted internships at industry leaders like Amazon, the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, and SpaceX. While we celebrate our team’s collective accomplishments, we are most proud of the individuals who have grown through the program and are now making significant contributions in the world of STEM.
